I came into Allen ISD freshman year not even being from Texas. It was a huge adjustment, but I eventually got used to the crowded halls and cafeteria. My experience has been good so far, I found my people here through sports and in the classroom. I think that for anyone new to the highschool, you will find your friend group. There is so much involvement with Allen's community and the school, there's literally always something to do here.

I have loved my time in the Allen ISD school district. I grew up in this district, starting in kindergarten. The district has always been good about preparing its students for what is next to come. In the transition from elementary school to middle school, I felt very prepared and was slowly eased into the change in workload. Allen ISD is very good about having a safe and welcoming environment in all of its buildings. I have loved all of the opportunities and experiences I have been presented with during my time in the district. I have had leadership and mentoring experiences along with community service opportunities. The staff has been very good about preparing their seniors for post-graduation. I have felt supported through out all fifteen years in thus district. My favorite thing about my time at Allen has been all of the events they put on for their students. From Friday night football games to going to the school dances. I have truly made so many memories throughout the years.

I had a decent 4 years in Allen high school but i hope to never come back. The school district seems to care much more about making money and not at all the quality of environment the students and teachers are in.

This district has a serious and out of control drug problem. The district and city stay silent. Fentanyl is killing their students. Multiple Allen ISD witness drug deals and admin turn a blind eye. Maybe the district will talk when it's the football team lost by fentanyl. Even Plano kids know Allen is where you go for drugs.

If your child is in sped, stay far, far away!!! We had nothing but problems trying to get my child's IEP accommodations from our previous district met here. If you try to call the Central Admin for help, they will direct you to campus. The campus will direct you again to Central Admin. And then you call Central Admin again, trying to talk to anyone besides the receptionist and will be denied over and over. If you ever do get ahold of an administrator there for help for your child, expect to be belittled, ridiculed, and told they can't help with anything. The Sped Dept of Allen seriously does not care about children. It was by far the worst experience and set my child back and really made them hate school for a while. Fortunately we were able to get out of Allen and my kid is back to doing well in school, and starting to enjoy school again.

The Allen Independent School District could implement programs and initiatives aimed at celebrating and embracing diversity. This could include cultural awareness events, guest speakers from various backgrounds, and curriculum enhancements that highlight the contributions of diverse groups to history, science, literature, and other subjects. Additionally, the district could actively recruit a more diverse faculty and staff to serve as role models for students from all backgrounds. By fostering an environment that values and respects diversity, the district can create a more inclusive and enriching educational experience for all students.

My experience at Allen High School has had a lot of ups and downs. One thing I'm really happy about though, is the many different academic options this school provides. We have culinary, forensics, and nursing/medical profession, courses that help you get a head start on figuring out what you would like to pursue in the future. One thing I'm don't like about the school is how packed it is. There are a lot of people in the school and it can be very overwhelming at times. The hallways get very crowded and lunches are always a hassle. It's hard to get to your class in the allotted amount of time, and it's hard to actually get your lunch because of how long the lines for the restaurants can get.

Allen High School is an amazing school. With over 100 clubs for people to choose from and the diversity adds flavor to every program. The sports program is where the school really shows out and becomes unified as one. The school is under great care from our teachers, janitors, principals and counselors, the students are in great hands.

The school Administration works against parents and students. The community is constantly expressing concerns and nothing is ever done to address issues.

Fantastic experience. Have children from elementary to HS and the district is run extremely effectively for all learners regardless of socioeconomic status or abilities. They recently redid boundaries for elementary schools and the result is a fantastic idea that doesn't waste space or opportunities for the children.

I'm a parent of four Allen ISD graduates. K-12 at all levels offer every opportunity for students to succeed in education and preparing for their future. The programs available to students are some of the best in Texas. If a student can't find a program to help prepare them for the future then they aren't looking. From culinary arts to broadcast journalism, music and yes, sports, Allen ISD has best in state programs in all of them. Some hard decisions had to be made recently due to demographics changing within district boundaries. A small group of parents negatively affected (in their own eyes) by these decisions have launched a smear campaign against the superintendent and other district leadership. Taking to social media with immature rants and laughable accusations. In spite of this Allen ISD remains a place where students can excel in their academic career, if they choose to.

High school is overcrowded. If you don’t get outside help your child will likely fall through the cracks.

Elementary program excellent. Secondary program offers every option under the sun, but the large school configuration is not for everyone.
Central admin has had lots of turnover past 10 years contributing to some planning failures and loss of voter confidence.

The district has recently received “terrible “ reviews from a small handful of disgruntled parents who are now bullying administrators on line due to a recent, very necessary rezoning that took place within the district. As an employee and a parent of 2 Allen ISD graduates, I can tell you first hand that AISD is an excellent school district with caring professional administrators who are making tough decisions for ALL district students.

I love the district and the amazing work they do on behalf of our children, parents and residents. They aren’t singularly focused on just one area, but really making the experience for every student the best it could be.

Overcrowded High School and Freshman center. The district is known to gloss over bullying incidences. If you have the ability to fork over some money, your kids will have preferential treatment otherwise you do not exist. Your talents and abilities will not matter if you cannot donate time/money/goodies.

Lots of self-important, butt-hurt people on here who think the can run a massive school district… apply for the job! AISD is a fantastic district and has wonderful schools and teachers. Leave your bubble once and awhile and you’d know that.

I am so glad we moved to Allen ISD! The teachers and admin care about their students and want them to succeed. We had problems with bullying (as at any school anywhere) but it was quickly handled. The opportunities my kids have are vast and top notch. It is NOT perfect but what district is. We were rezoned to Olson due to Anderson closing and have been very pleased with Olson so far. LFC would be my only complaint but I believe it has a lot to do with the age of the students and them having a school just for Freshman. All in all I look forward to my kids graduating from Allen and having the skills necessary to take on the world!

I have a middle schooler and have been at Allen ISD through her entire school career. Overall it has been a great experience. I feel like they truly prepare the students for the next steps in their school and personal lives.
