Why I Love This Cardigan

The Jasmine Cardigan is a great for dressing up, dressing down, or hanging out at home. It can dress up as a going out outfit or just be thrown on and worn around the house for the cozy warm factor.

I wanted to design a "Jean" like jacket but dressed up with some more feminine features like the chevron detail on the sleeves. The V stitch pairs with this LB Collection Cotton Jeans yarn so well giving it so much texture and depth.

The construction of the cardigan is very simple with the body of the cardigan worked in one piece making for minimal seaming. Each sleeve is then worked separately and attached to the body.

Yarn With Great Stitch Definition

I used LB Collection Cotton Jeans. I love the stitch definition this yarn gives. The speckled bits of white really make the yarn pop in garments. Also, how could you not love this indigo color! (Pictured on the left below.)

Also, it is cotton which makes it great for not only Fall and Winter but spring as well. I feel like this yarn was made for the V stitch it showcases the texture of the stitch so well.

A Beginner-Friendly Sweater

Most of this pattern utilizes the same stitch throughout making it an easy mindless project that you work up while binge watching your favorite Netflix show.

This is a beginner plus level pattern. You'll get to practice decreasing. And don't be intimidated by the chevron stitch! It's a very simple stitch that only consists of double crochets and chaining.

Continue working wrong side out. Align base of sleeve seam with the base of the arm hole opening, seam sleeve to armhole.
