An Essex County jury awarded $5.75 million on May 23 to a husband and wife who suffered serious injuries in a crash on the Garden State Parkway.

Mujahid Sharif and his wife Pamela were driving on the Parkway northbound on April 29, 2016, when they got off at Exit 145. They were in the left lane of a two-lane exit ramp when their vehicle collided with another that was driven by Brian Head, according to their complaints.
