So incredibly happy to have been a part of this amazing experience. So glad to work specifically with VOOM foundation and so proud of every single organization that got a grant from our class. I cannot wait to see what great things are done with this grant!

Boston Partners in Education (BPIE), a nonprofit organization that provides Boston Public Schools (BPS) students with in-classroom tutoring and mentoring services, is in danger of pausing operations in the 2023-24 school year. For nearly 60 years, our mentoring services have provided personalized academic and social-emotional support to over 1,000 BPS students annually, at no cost to them or their families.Losing these services is not an option for the students who rely on BPIE for support each yearWith this urgency, we are launching an ambitious fundraising campaign,Raise Your Hand for BPIE, to preserve our mentoring programs and ensure they remain in BPS classrooms. The majority of our revenue has historically come from corporate sponsorships and event giving, but both of those sources have seen dramatic shifts in the post-pandemic economy. For our programs to operate fully in the new school year, and to lay the groundwork for future sustainability, we must raise $250,000 by August 31, 2023, and an additional $250,000 before January 1, 2024.

Director of Annual Giving & New Donor Initiatives | ProUD to be a Flyer

33 days (and a few hours, minutes, seconds, but who's counting?!) to go until ONE DAY like no other, #1Day1Dayton! I find myself getting asked more and more as we get closer to the big day: As someone who works in annual giving, where do you typically give?My answer is simple: I give to and in honor o the University of Dayton students and their experience. Some areas I've supported through early giving are:1) Food4Flyers, our on-campus food pantry that serves students facing food insecurity. Since Food4Flyers opened in October, nearly 900 visits have been made by students. The pantry needs community support in order to serve our students. Financial gifts make access to more food options available for our students in need.2) University of Dayton School of Business Administration: I'm always one to root, root, root for the home team and Dean Trevor Collier and SBA are that for this #proUD Marketing grad. 3) The Professor Anne R. Crecelius Fund for Innovation in Learning and Teaching: While I didn't know Anne Crecelius personally, I know her impact: it's felt deep and wide within our community. Her love for UD and our students is ever present and will continue to be despite her no longer being earthside. Our students deserve the very best education - an education that is innovative to its core - and Anne was always an advocate for that. Why wouldn't I choose to support this fund? That's the better question...Regardless of who you are, how much you give or where you give, the fact that you're taking that step - actually making a gift - that's what counts. Join me, won't you?! #givingday

🌟Celebrating 10 Years of RALLY🌟 As our 10th anniversary celebration comes to a close, we’re reflecting on the transformative work we've done over the past 12 months. We are excited to showcase 10 outstanding projects that show how our team and our clients together have pushed boundaries, fostered change, and left this world in a better place than we found it. This year, we worked with THE WALTON FAMILY CHARITABLE SUPPORT FOUNDATION INC as they embarked on a unique initiative, pondering the question: "What if we let Gen Z voices take the lead in expressing their desires for the education system?" In partnership with Gallup, the Walton Family Foundation launched America's Student Report Card, providing Gen Z with an opportunity to reverse roles by assigning grades instead of solely receiving them. As it turns out, Gen Z desires more from their education, assigning our education system a B-.Armed with the conviction that our students deserve a better than average education, the foundation catalyzed a new conversation about how to raise America’s GPA and give Gen Z a rightful seat at the decision-making table.#RALLY10thAnniversary #StudentReportCard

They got the headline wrong. They buried the lede. The most important sentence in this article is:➡️ “Instead of soliciting contributions to the Senior Gift fund, the six Harvard College Fund marshals who sit on the 2024 Class Committee will work to educate classmates on the impact of the Harvard College Fund….”✅ THIS is what student giving should be about. If #HigherEducation wants to convert more students to loyal donors, #philanthropy education is key. It’s time to start teaching:💡 What an endowment is (and isn’t)💡 What things actually cost💡 How #AnnualGiving fills a critical gap in revenueThat’s just to name a few.And by the way, teaching these things to faculty, staff and alums matters too. Everyone is an ambassador. Everyone is a prospect. Empower them.—👉 Your turn: What else would you add to my list for higher ed philanthropy education?—At #Weiswood Strategies, we partner with colleges, universities, and other nonprofits on communications strategies that increase contributions and deepen donor relationships.
