What Does It Mean To Boo Someone

You've Been Booed Free Printables and 25 Boo Basket Ideas (2)

Booing is all about spreading Halloween fun around your neighborhood! It’s kind of like the spooky version of Secret Santa!

This fun Halloween tradition is done in the lead up to October 31st (usually in the month of October… though I see no harm starting up spooky season in September. Its never too early for a fun Halloween surprise!)

The person doing the booing creates a fun basket, box or bucket filled with Halloween treats, candy, small gifts and other fun items for kids/the family.

When booing you play doorbell ditch and leave the boo basket on the doorstep or porch of the person, along with instructions and boo signs for them to spread the Halloween fun to someone else. Booing is even more fun if you can find a place to hide and see the recipients reaction when they realize they’ve had a super fun Halloween gift basket left at their door (just make sure they don’t see you since that ruins the secret)!

Once the person has been booed, they put a sign on their front door or in their front window saying that they’ve been booed, so that others know that they’ve already been booed and so other families can join in the fun.

Then it’s their turn to continue the fun and boo someone else!

Note: Worried that the boo chain will break? Booing multiple people gives you a higher chance that the chain reaction won’t break and that more people will enjoy the Booing fun!

Booing can be done among neighbors, friends, family members or anyone who you thing would enjoy some Halloween cheer! It’s a fun little surprise to find at your front door and who doesn’t love fun halloween surprises?!?!
